Installing Shade Sails
Shade Sails can be added to most existing structures and can extend existing structures with additional structural pole support. Installations can be as simple as stretching the sails with low stretch dacron rope or engineered to include marine grade hardware and custom pole installs.

Shade Sails of Hawaii provides free installation consultations to help you with your Shade installation. From basic ready-made installs to highly involved installations requiring boring, concrete, welding, and securing poles. Shade Sails Hawaii can help you "Create a Shade Experience" that will add beauty and value to your residential or business location.

A few basic tips on installations
Plan your installation: Check with your local building Department, some installations require a building permit. We are not responsible for obtaining permits or for engineering your installation.

Selecting the position: It is very important that you consider the most suitable location for your shade sail/sails taking into account the following:
• Size of shade sail/sails.
• Strength of existing structures intended to be anchor points.
• Possilbe locations for fixing posts.
• Location of BBQ's or sundirection.
• Nearby trees or branches.
Attachment points should be installed first: Install your posts with eye-nuts, and to the house, tree or any other structure you have chosen to support them. Add eyebolts, pad-eyes or straps.
